Portrait Parties

 What is a portrait party?

A portrait party is very much like the home parties where you can buy candles or scrapbooking supplies. With a portrait party, you have the opportunity to have quality professional prints with no initial cost. There is no sitting fee for a Portrait Party, nor any obligation to purchase prints. Portrait Parties have special benefits for the host/hostess and the guests.

How does it work?

As the host/hostess of a Portrait Party, you invite friends and family members to your home, or a location of your choice for a special photo session. Your guests are encouraged to bring their families along.

Your guests will receive a 30 minute portrait session with the choice of a white or black background.

What happens after the party?

Within a week of the party, you will have CD's to present to your guests.  Your guests will have one week to place their orders.  After this time, the party is closed and reprints will not be available for purchase for 6 months. This ensures, that you, as the hostess are able to obtain the most rewards from your party.

Why have a portrait party?

• As the host/hostess of a portrait party, you earn 15% credit of the total guest sales to apply to your print purchase*. You potentially could get all of your prints for free!
• There is never a session fee for portrait parties for you or your guests, nor any obligation to purchase prints (though as the host/hostess, the more your guests order, the bigger you reward).
• Your guests receive a 30 minute session while as the host/hostess, you will get a full hour.
• You and your guests receive an additional bonus of 10% off all packages ordered. This offer is exclusive to Portrait Parties only!

*Note: A minimum of 6 guests must attend your party to recieve a 15% credit toward your purchase. Please see bottom of page for 5 or less guests attending.

Where can I have a portrait party?

A portrait party can take place in your home, your yard or on location (i.e. the beach or a park).

I want to have a portrait party, now what?

• Create a guest list. A minimum of 6 guests must attend your party (excluding the host/hostess) to receive the greatest rewards. You are welcome to invite up to 15 guests should you like, but please keep in mind that there will be 30 minutes of sitting time for each guest. Your guests are encouraged to bring their families for the party.
• Contact Haven Photography to schedule your party.
• Mail out your invitations. I will provide you with a schdule sheet and post card invitations. It's a good idea to mail them out 3-5 weeks prior to your party date to give your guests time to plan ahead.
• Guests RSVP. As your guests RSVP for your party, schedule them into the time slots on your schedule sheet.
• One week prior to your scheduled party. I will contact you to find out how many guests will be attending your party and obtain a copy of your schedule sheet.

The Day of Your Party

• Plan to have a room for your guests to socialize and a separate room to conduct the portrait sessions. Having them in the same area can be distracting for the portrait session and ultimately reduce the amount of productivity during the 30 minute session.
• Provide some light refreshments for your guests.
• Host/hostess sitting. As the host/hostess you will receive a full hour sitting which can take place prior to or just after the party.

After the Party

• Within a week of your party, I will have CD's for you to deliver to your guests.
• Your guests have one week to place their order. The party is then closed for ordering. Reprint orders from parties are not allowed for 6 months. This ensures you, as the host/hostess, will get as many orders as possible from the party.
• 2-4 weeks after the party closes, I will deliver all the print orders to you to pass out to your guests.

Less than 6 guests:

• 4-5 guests, host/hostess receives a 10% credit to apply to purchases.
• 1-3 guests, host/hostess receives a 5% credit to apply to purchases.
