Children Portraits Children grow so fast! I am constantly amazed how much growth my children have each year. My goal is to to capture those memories that you can cherish for a lifetime. From traditional poses to candid captures, Haven Photography can create beautiful images of your child. Consultation The first step is to schedule a consultation. Consultations are free of charge, nor are you under any obligation to use Haven Photography for your portrait needs. The purpose here is to determine if Haven Photography is able to cater to your personal needs. The Sitting Haven Photography brings the studio to you. You can choose to have a session in your home, back yard, at a local park or a combination of these. This is a benefit as children often feel more comfortable in surroundings they are familiar with. A playground or park is a great location for candid style images as well. The session will typically last 1-2 hours and possibly more depending on your child. The time limit is a guideline, but not firm by any means. If it takes 2-4 hours to capture the right images, then I will devote that time. The session fee will not increase for extra time. I want to make sure to capture the images you want, no matter how long that may take. There will be 10-20 proofs from the sitting. Helpful Tips Bring any props you feel would be suitable for your child that may cater to your childs personality like a favorite toy. A good time for portraits for most children is when they have a full tummy and are well rested. So early in the day or after a good nap (if they take naps) and after a meal, I find children are often most easy to work with.
